This tab is a truly complete tool for manipulating the e-mail addresses of local accounts as you wish.

It allows in a few clicks to change, add, delete SMTP addresses on all accounts of an OU; and much more like using the SMTP address for UPN, email or vice versa.

The first thing is to select the OU in which there are the accounts to modify.

Then we have 3 sub-tabs depending on whether you want to add, delete or copy an STMP address.

Sub tab add an SMTP address

We choose the prefix of the address according to the following criteria:

1. • Either we keep the current prefix, if it does not exist we will take the same as the SAM Account Name attribute
   • Either we take the same as the UPN of the account
   • Either we take the same as the SAM Account Name
   • Either it is created according to the surname and first name of the user according to several syntaxes to be defined.
2. We choose the suffix (the domain name) of the SMTP address to add.
   The suffix must respect a correct syntax, example: mydomain.com.
3. We define options among:
   • Set as primary email address, if there was one, it will be kept as an alternative address.
   • Set as UPN, copies the new SMTP address as UPN
   • Add to user mail address attribute: copies the SMTP address to the mail attribute of the user account.
   • Lowercase: saves the STMP address in lower case.

Sub-tab Remove SMTP address

1. Fill in the SMTP suffix (email domain name) to be deleted.
2. There are 2 options:
   If this suffix is used in the UPN, the UPN suffix will be replaced by the default suffix present in the drop-down list.
   If this suffix is used in the mail attribute of the user, you can either delete the email address or modify it with the default suffix.

Sub-tab Copy SMTP address

Here, all copy options are possible between UPN, SAM Account Name, email and SMTP address:

1. Select a source address from the choices offered.
2. Select one or more copy destinations from:
   • UPN
   • Email address
   • Primary SMTP address
   • Alternative STMP Address

Result : Each change is irreversible, which is why we have implemented a Test button to log changes without applying them.

The Go button applies the changes.

The Save log button allows you to save these changes in a text file in order to keep a trace.
